My "Office"

This is where I write. It's a couch. That's the kitchen behind me. You might notice the yellow rubber gloves. The Wife uses those for washing dishes because she doesn't like wrinkly fingers. She gets angry at me when I knock the gloves into the sink because then they get wet and I guess that sort of defeats the purpose.

Other things of note:

The pink tray on the left side of the picture is Little One's "princess" tray.

That's a dictionary on the whatever-you-call-that-kind-of-table. I'm old skool that way.

The dangling cord is from a string of Christmas lights. Probably should take those down some day.

There's a guy already writing in your writing spot! My spot doesn't come with a guy.

I like the things of note. That is exactly what I wanted to know.

Nice office, Murph! Did you see mine? I vlogged about it a few days ago. I think you should buy your wife a dishwasher, btw. ;-)

Wow! I get so pissed when people get water in my freakin gloves. I'd rather everyone just leave all the sink work to me, if they can't somehow manage to keep my gloves dry.

Also, we have a dishwasher and it's what we use, but I prefer doing dishes by hand, and so do my mother and my sisters. Dishwashers really make little sense unless you're trying to sanitize, and half the time they don't do a very good job of that. There have been actual studies about various ethnic groups that despise dishwashers. I try to point this out to Husband, but he is inflexible on this point, and I figure I can give him a break every once in awhile (but not about the gloves).

Also, you look like a teacher.

Jonathon's comment is exactly why I didn't include a photo of myself working...today, while writing, I wore plaid pajama pants, unstylish red velvety Lands End shoes that I use as slippers and a 20-year-old (I'm not kidding) hooded USC Track sweatshirt (as in the University of Southern Colorado, which has been called Colorado State University-Pueblo for a VERY long time now). And very big hair.

I'm totally procrastinating. Sorry for the length here.

@Larissa--thanks. I'll check it out ASAP.

@Debra--I did, and I would have already if we actually had room for one.

@Jonathon--yes, but only because I'd just gotten home from work and because I live in Michigan and the house is always freezing, the first thing I do is throw on the fleece, damn the color clashing.

@Anita--We would love a dishwasher, but it just won't fit. And before you go all, "Oh, it'll fit," trust me when I tell you that it will not.

You looked so serious in your office. So different from your profile picture.

When I use the dishwasher, I think of it as some kind of industrial garbage disposal. When Mr. Cate uses it, he prewashes everything, to which I say, "you've already washed them just put them away".

You live in Michigan? That explains a lot :)

I'm too late. I have nothing to add. I'm going to your most recent post.
