From the Classroom

After some kid farted, another one said, "It smells like someone's business."

I had a hard time keeping a straight face.

You and Tracy should write a book with these comments. I find them very funny. I could never be a teacher. I have such little patience. I truly admire teachers...even if it's not a "calling" and they're just in there every day doing a good job. I especially appreciate teachers today...after two consecutive snow days, I'm going nuts with the four kids at home. I also appreciate good car mechanics (but not as much as teachers).

I agree w/Anita--write these gems down! My brother-in-law is now a principal at an elem school in NJ, but when he was teaching 6th grade in AZ, he had a little boy from a primarily spanish-speaking family. One day, this little boy showed up in a shirt that read, "I go nuts for tiny butts." My BIL had a hard time keeping his face straight, too. He eventually asked the boy to go to the bathroom and turn the shirt inside out. He couldn't take looking at it all day. Teachers have some great stories.

Oh my gosh! I am so bored today! Can't you run a contest and/or post something infuriating?!
