Interesting, particularly THE BIBLE. You should definitely get one of those (maybe two) for your class.

I have a third grader. She's reading AMBER BROWN right now. I haven't read any of them. I hope they're OK.

I'm very glad kids are still reading Goosebumps! Those books kept me awake at night! :) Love them!

I didn't realize Pokemom was still a "thing". I remember getting the German version of the cards for my 3rd grader when we lived overseas. He's a senior in high school now.

Interesting list.I'm glad to see science books there.
My second grader is reading Judy Moody and Lucy Rose books right now.
Pokemon books. UGH. My now fifth grader had a three year obsession and I read Pokemon book after Pokemon book with him. It was excruciating!

My third-grade nephew is still way into Captain Underpants.

I read Ivy+Bean when I was exploring middle grade books. the books are well-written and have simple, but entertaining illustrations.

I am sooo happy to see The Boxcar Children, those were my favorite books as a child.

She usually picks the books, Anita. She picks three every night because she's three. (This was her idea.) Because she's a tad OCD, we tend to read the same three books every night for weeks at a time. Right now, it's Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, some Dora book she picked out at Target, and The Boy Who Wouldn't Share.

But many classics have already enjoyed the spotlight. I bought her Where the Wild Things Are a few days ago but she thinks it's too scary, which is funny, because so did I.

All my kids were OCD at age three. The first one had us totally freaking...we thought she needed meds. After about age five, their lives get so busy, they have little time for rituals...except for bedtime ones...those still persist. But whatever, as long as they eventually go to sleep.

My four-year-old is digging the GEORGE AND MARTHA books, which I have to say, make ALL six of us laugh our butts off.

I just read a book called LONE SURVIVOR. I think you would like it. But it's not a MG or YA.

Saw it on your blog. Might add it to the list (which is growing and growing and growing and the ALA haven't even done their awards yet.)
